In Ontario, it is a requirement for children attending school or licensed child care to either have up-to-date immunizations or possess an exemption on record with public health. The regulations regarding children in school are governed by the Immunization of School Pupils Act, while the rules for children in licensed child care are outlined in the Child Care and Early Years Act. There are four types of exemptions available:
- Medical exemption for child care
- Non-medical exemption for child care
- Medical exemption for school pupils
- Non-medical exemption for school pupils
Please note that these exemptions are official legal documents and should not be altered in any manner; documents must be notarized to be valid.
